“Worship the LORD your God, and His blessing will be on your food and water. I will take away sickness from among you.”
Exodus 23:25
So many of us believe we are not worthy of God’s attention or perhaps of anyone’s. When we are living with illness don’t get the support we need, we begin to wonder if illness is a punishment from God. But this is NOT true!
Jesus performed many miracles, demonstrating His power over nature and spirits, and thus confirming that the Kingdom of God is at hand. As we read the story of Lazarus in the Bible, we learn in John 11:38-44:
“Jesus miraculously brings a dead man back to life.”
My Beloved, the Bible lets us know that in times of trouble, it is so important to affirm our self worth and value and believe that God wants to heal us. Knowing God’s will is the foundation of our faith. We need to establish our faith in God’s promises of healing and long life NOW. Don’t wait until your body is threatened before you start receiving these promises.
If you don’t feel that you have done good things, then please know that you don’t need to deserve healing. You are entitled. Let God tell you that you are WORTHY because God is the unchanging essence of who you are.
Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” – John 11:40 (NIV)
Listen, GOD is our life and the length of our days. By drawing close to Him, we draw close to the source of our life. By loving Him and clinging to Him in faith, we will draw upon His life, which will lengthen our days. As we trust GOD and His promises for life, GOD is able to work through us in a mighty way.
