24 “On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.”
Luke 24:1-3 NIV
The Lord spoke to me to tell you — I know that some of the challenges you are facing may be prolonged, and sometimes you question if God truly sees everything that concerns you.
Maybe somewhere deep inside, you expected your journey with the Lord to be easier; and you feel disappointed, disillusioned and abandoned because of the difficulties you currently face.
Beloved, I want you to keep calm, because one of the names of God is El Roi (the God who sees), as Hagar taught us in Genesis 16:13. When you pray to El Roi, you are praying to the one who knows everything about you.
Listen,
The LORD is your keeper.
The LORD is your shade on your right hand.
The LORD will protect you from all evil; He will keep your soul.
The LORD will guard your going out and your coming in from this time forth and forever.”
As you read Psalm 121, notice how it gives a clear and comforting picture of El Roi, who always sees all of your needs and who is always able to come to your aid.
“I will lift up my eyes to the mountains. From where shall my help come? My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth. He will not allow your foot to slip. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.”
Our Lord is a God who never slumbers nor sleeps; therefore He sees and knows everything that is happening in your life.
You know this really means that God is in control. Do not be afraid, for God has risen and is moving your stone of troubles away.
