Divine Favor: Accessing God’s Grace Through Faith

In this life, nothing compares to walking in divine favor. It is the unmerited grace of God that sets you apart, opens doors, and brings blessings beyond human understanding. Faith in Jesus Christ is the key to accessing divine favor, and even if you feel you have lost it, God’s mercy can restore it. Today, I want to guide you into understanding how to walk in divine favor, maintain it, and recover it when lost.

How to Have Divine Favor by Faith in Jesus

The foundation of divine favor is faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8 reminds us, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” Favor flows from God’s grace, and it is given to those who trust Him.

To walk in divine favor, you must:
1. Seek God’s Kingdom First: Matthew 6:33 says, “Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Prioritize God in your life, and He will release His favor upon you.
2. Live a Life of Obedience: Obedience to God’s Word brings blessings. Psalm 5:12 declares, “For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous; with favor You will surround him as with a shield.”
3. Pray and Depend on God: Prayer unlocks God’s favor. Hebrews 4:16 encourages us to come boldly to the throne of grace to obtain mercy and find grace in times of need.
4. Maintain a Heart of Gratitude: Gratitude magnifies the favor of God. When you appreciate what He has done, He does even more.

Losing and Regaining Divine Favor: A Biblical Example

The story of King Saul demonstrates how one can lose divine favor. Saul was chosen by God to lead Israel, but his disobedience cost him the favor of God. In 1 Samuel 15:22-23, Samuel said to Saul, “To obey is better than sacrifice, and to heed than the fat of rams. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”

Saul lost divine favor because he chose his desires over God’s instructions. However, we also see examples of restoration in the Bible. Consider David, who sinned against God but repented wholeheartedly. Psalm 51 is a powerful prayer of repentance, and through it, David regained favor with God.

This teaches us that while disobedience can lead to the loss of divine favor, sincere repentance and

turning back to God can restore it.

The Importance of Divine Favor

Walking in divine favor is essential for fulfilling God’s purpose for your life. It:

  • Opens supernatural doors of opportunity.
  • Shields you from harm and enemies.
  • Brings promotions and blessings that human effort cannot achieve.
  • Strengthens your faith and testimony.
To raise your life to God’s standard, you must cherish divine favor and guard it with diligence.Daniel Amoateng: A Voice of Sympathy and Hope
