“The fear of the Lord adds length to life,
but the years of the wicked are cut short.”
Proverbs 10:27 NIV
The devil tries to look for opportunities to use against you. The enemy is not happy when you are honored by people. Believe it or not, they abound everywhere. And they often do things or send forces to terminate one’s life.
Beloved, many have sought the secret to a long life, but very few have ever found it. God’s desire is never for you to die young, nor for you to live a long, but miserable life. He wants you to live a long, good and happy life.
I have never seen God’s Word speak of Him using sickness or disease to call a righteous person. Instead, He took up your pain and healed you. What is God’s desire for those who fear Him and walk in His ways? A long and abundant life!
Psalm 91:16 says, “With long life I will satisfy him and show him my salvation.”
This means that God promises you not just long life, but also a satisfying one, full of His goodness, wholeness and peace! God loves us dearly my beloved, and He loved us that much before we even got saved! How much more does He love us, now that we’ve been adopted as His children into the kingdom.
