“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16, NLT
The Bible says, “The greatest commandment I give to you is to love.” The greatest commandment is love. It means God is interested in that commandment and He says, “If you love me, then obey my commandments.” So if you obey the commandments of God, you love God. Love is the strongest one.
Even in the beginning, it is proven that love is very powerful. God designed you in His image. You can talk to God. You can pray to God. The Bible says in Psalm 8:5, “You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honour”. This is love of God for your life.
But sadly, we live in a world where babies are born with birth defects. People die of cancer, heart disease, and a variety of genetic diseases over which they have no control. Humans battle depression, loneliness, all kinds of mental illnesses and disorders; the list is endless. Have you heard such questions as this before: “Why didn’t God create an earth where bad things, misery and pain simply could not happen?” “If we were created in God’s image and perfect from the beginning, why are we so fragile?” “Didn’t God love us? Why would He let us suffer?”
“So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.” Genesis 1:27
Creation came before formation in the womb of the mother. And God said before He formed you He knew you. How? Because you were originally created before the formation took place. There are many things which can take place in the womb of a mother during the formation of the baby. When you were being created, you moved into the image of God, but in the womb of your mother forces of adversity, destructive and demonic agents, can take something away from your life. This is why somebody can give birth to a blind person. God didn’t create them blind because He said in the image of God created He male and female. God is not blind to have created a blind person, but in the womb of a mother that shift and interference can take place. God didn’t create you like this. The enemy who is the cause will have you believe that nothing has happened. There are no words to describe the anguish being felt by those who are suffering from birth. There are so many tragic stories, so much pain. And many people are asking the question, “Why? Why did God allow this?”
“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.” Jeremiah 31:3, NLT
Anytime you enter into any good relationship, whether marital relationship, whether business relationship, whether ministry relationship, that relationship ends up becoming sour, ends up becoming bitter and ends up becoming bad. You used to have a real good relationship in the business, and something takes place and it turns bad between you and your partner. Maybe you’re a woman, you’re a man dating, but the relationship just breaks down. It’s like sometimes, you are going to keep a relationship, just a friendship, but all of a sudden relationship just goes downhill.
Hear me, every “test” that happens to you and me, God reveals Himself as our source of provision. Beloved, we have the definite promise of Jesus, so let us not fret. The culture we live in always feeds us with worry, doubt and fear about our future, but Jesus holds our future.
“He asked this only to test him, for he already had in mind what he was going to do.” John 6:6
