“For I have chosen him, so that he will direct his children and his household after him to keep the way of the LORD by doing what is right and just, so that the LORD will bring about for Abraham what he has promised him.”
Genesis 18:19 (NIV)
No matter how successful you are, there is one special person in your life who you need to be thankful for, because he is responsible for you being here on earth. He is the one who had to face a lot of hardships and sacrifices to be able to provide for you. He is the one who gives you your needs and wants without asking for anything in return. He is the one who always has your back, even if you are not aware of it.
God chose an imperfect earthly FATHER to bring up His perfect image as a father according to Matthew 5:48: “For I am the perfect father” and God knows what best for you. He chose your father to be your father because of his purpose to lead you into a great future.
As we celebrate Father’s Day my beloved, I want you to honor your father with all the love and respect he deserves. It is your turn to thank your father for his very important role in your lives and for being a great father.
Now, beloved, I want you to declare and recite it now.
Father God, I thank you for your POWER your STRENGTH, your GRACE and your GLORY. Right now, I declare in Jesus’ name, any evil attack or trouble in my father’s house is BROKEN and destroyed. Every blessing from my father’s lineage comes to me now, in the name of Jesus, the son of the living God! Amen.
